This fall, you have an opportunity to expand your knowledge while helping your community through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Community and Urban Forestry Tree Stewards workshops. These workshops are designed to not only educate participants on the essentials of urban tree care but also to instill a sense of stewardship towards local green spaces.
Upcoming Workshop Dates and Locations
The Tree Stewards workshops will take place across several locations in Indiana:
- Sept. 11 and 12 in Goshen
- Oct. 11 and 18 in Muncie
- Nov. 6 and 7 in Evansville
Each session offers invaluable insights into tree biology, care techniques, and advocacy efforts necessary for maintaining healthy urban forests. Participants will also learn how to engage with their communities through volunteering.
